The Folklore of Herbs

Author Claire Sullivan will read from her book to reveal the unusual way in which Mary (the MasterGardener) considers her garden.
"You may view the garden as a metaphor of life. There's sunshine for happiness; there's cloud. Plants I love ... sweet woodruff; plants I hate ... creeping Charlie; and plants one regrets planting."
There are lessons learned in the garden .... "Go often to the house of thy friend, for weeds choke the unused path."

Jill Cockerell of Franklin Farms will discuss the use of some of the herbs described in the book MasterGardener. Bee Balm, the Rose and Feverfew are all useful as well as beautiful and Jill has plenty of information to share. Click the link on the Home Page to Kawartha Herbs blog.

Come see us at the Peterborough Garden Show on April 14th at noon in the demonstration room. (upstairs) for The Folklore of Herbs, door prizes and discussion.
